Viettel has launched its tenth international mobile phone network, Mytel, in Myanmar. Mytel, the fourth mobile phone operator in that country, is the brand name of Telecom International Myanmar, a JV between Viettel and two local partners, Star High Public Company and Myanmar National Telecom Holding Public.

It is the only network with a customer service channel with video calling in various languages including Burmese, English and Shan. It has already deployed more than 7,000 4G BTSs and over 30,000 km of fibre optic cable that covers the entire nation, enabling it to provide a diverse range of services such as smart agriculture solutions (Nextfarm), traffic signal management systems (Smart Light), an electronic wallet, route surveillance equipment, etc.
