Reportedly, Vietnam’s Viettel is considering selling its stake in Cambodia’s telecom firm Metfone to raise capital for its other global ventures. Viettel would offer no more than 49 per cent of Metfone’s operations, leaving the former with a controlling share. Metfone generated $256 million revenue in 2015, about 40 per cent of Viettel’s overseas telecom turnover.
