State-owned Electricity of Vietnam’s (EVN) transmission subsidiary National Power Transmission Corporation (EVN NPT) and Russia’s Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy Systems (FGC UES) discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation for the development of a high voltage transmission network. Both the companies shared their experience related to the construction and management of 220-500 kV power grids, and the use of high voltage equipment produced in the two countries. They also discussed the support of electrical industry manufacturers, as well as FGC UES’s participation in evaluating the current status of the Vietnamese power transmission system. FGC UES has expressed its willingness to share information and experience in operating the power transmission system with EVN NPT.
