HSBC Malaysia has extended an RM181 million loan with a five-year committed term to fund the purchase of HNG Capital Group’s stake in a 330 MW solar project in Vietnam. HNG Capital took over the stake from a Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange listed company.
The loan aligns with HSBC’s aim to achieve net zero carbon emissions from its overall portfolio of customers by 2050 or sooner.
