Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical JSC (BSR) has signed a series of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with US energy and commodity companies to strengthen bilateral energy cooperation, covering crude oil supply, biofuels, and feedstock sourcing.
Under the agreements, BSR will cooperate with Chevron Supply and Trading, Marquis Energy, and ADM Asia-Pacific Trading. The MoUs include arrangements for crude oil supply to the Dung Quat Oil Refinery, potential imports of US ethanol biofuel, and the supply of corn as feedstock for ethanol production in Vietnam.
The agreements form part of broader efforts by Vietnam and the United States to deepen energy cooperation as a pillar of a reciprocal and balanced trade relationship. The Ministry of Industry and Trade supported the engagements, aiming to diversify energy supply sources, strengthen value-chain linkages, and translate strategic cooperation commitments into operational projects.
