The Philippines’ Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has opened the Urdaneta Bypass Road in Pangasinan. The road spans 17.7 km and crosses the two major road intersections of Urdaneta-Dagupan Road and Urdaneta-Manaoag Provincial Road. As part of the project, four bridges, sidewalks, solar street lights, a drainage system, and slope protection have also been developed.
The new road will cut travel time between Villasis town proper to Binalonan to just 30 minutes. It was developed at an estimated investment of PHP1.89 billion (USD39.19 million).
