Urban Renewables Private Limited has developed a 10 MW rooftop solar portfolio in Singapore since March 2021. The first project was awarded by NS BlueScope Lysaght for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at its manufacturing plant in Singapore.
Since then, the company signed more than 20 power purchase agreements (PPAs) for over 30 commercial and industrial buildings. It has also set up partnerships with Geneco and REC Solar, and has launched electric vehicle (EV) charging services in Singapore.
Following this, Urban Renewables has also announced plans to expand its business into the Malaysia market. The company aims to own and operate 100 MW of PV rooftop systems by 2025.
