The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has released new development proposals under the Draft Master Plan 2025, detailing multi-precinct expansion plans across Bedok, Tampines and Pasir Ris. The programme includes new public housing launches, integrated transport hubs, and supporting infrastructure such as linear parks, community facilities and Transit Priority Corridors. The plan positions the East as a key component of Singapore’s long-term land use and housing strategy.

The Bayshore precinct will introduce new Plus-model HDB projects supported by an integrated transport hub, a SAFRA clubhouse, a central linear park and a Transit Priority Corridor. In Tampines, two new neighbourhoods—Tampines North and Tampines South—will be developed with mixed-use centres, waterfront housing and direct integration with the upcoming Cross Island Line.

URA also confirmed that future redevelopment of Paya Lebar Air Base and industrial areas such as Defu will support new mixed-use districts connected to the Cross Island Line. These developments form part of the long-term strategy to enhance transport connectivity, broaden housing supply and support population growth through resilient neighbourhood planning.
