U Power Limited has partnered with Thailand-based SUSCO Public Company Limited to establish a joint venture for deploying battery-swapping stations across the country. Under the agreement, U Power’s UOTTA battery-swapping technology will be integrated into SUSCO’s network of fueling stations. The initiative aims to support Thailand’s EV adoption goals by providing rapid battery-swapping solutions for commercial vehicles, including taxis and ride-hailing fleets. The partnership positions U Power as a leader in Thailand’s emerging EV infrastructure market.

This collaboration aligns with Thailand’s “30@30” policy, which targets 30 per cent EV sales by 2030 and includes incentives for infrastructure expansion. Notably, Chatchaval Jiaravanon, a key investor and member of the Charoen Pokphand Group, has backed the venture, highlighting its growth potential. With Thailand’s large fleet of commercial vehicles exceeding 300,000, battery swapping is expected to reduce downtime and accelerate EV adoption. U Power and SUSCO’s partnership marks a significant step in advancing sustainable transportation across Thailand and Southeast Asia.
