Trina Solar has partnered with PetroGreen to increase solar energy adoption in the Philippines. Through a master sales agreement (MSA), Trina Solar will provide 117 MW of photovoltaic (PV) solar modules for various projects led by Rizal Green Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of PetroGreen.

This collaboration aims to help the Philippines reach its target of 35 per cent renewable energy (RE) by 2030. The companies have delivered modules for the Dagohoy solar PV project in Bohol, with more projects in the pipeline for San Jose, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, and Isabela provinces.

PetroGreen will explore Trina Solar’s advanced solar technologies, including n-type iTOPCon Advanced cell technology and Vertex products, to optimize performance. Both parties are open to future collaborations in solar trackers and battery energy storage systems, showing their dedication to innovative RE solutions.
