The Government of the Philippines has announced plans to invest USD5.3 billion in key transport infrastructure projects. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) IV-A has allocated USD3.6 billion for road and bridge improvements in the Calabarzon region, aiming to boost economic development.

Additionally, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) is proceeding with the USD1.7 billion Pasig River Expressway (PAREX) project. This 19-km-long route will enhance transport connections within Metro Manila, linking areas such as Bonifacio Global City, Ortigas Center, and the Makati Business District. Once completed, PAREX is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion in Manila.
