Thailand’s state-owned operators TOT and CAT Telecom have signed a one-year 3G network roaming agreement. The roaming facility will be limited to a total of 400,000 3G users of each operator. Users will be required to pay an interconnection charge of 0.5 baht per minute for using the roaming services. TOT currently has about 300,000 3G subscribers on its 2100 MHz network in the Bangkok area. TOT also has a network roaming agreement with AIS, which caters to 1 million mobile users, at the same interconnection charges.
