TM to deploy EMC Smarts’ OSS for its high speed broadband (HSBB) network infrastructure

Telekom Malaysia (TM) has entered into an agreement to deploy EMC Smarts’ operations support system (OSS) solutions for its high speed broadband (HSBB) network infrastructure. The telecom company owns the HSBB infrastructure along with the Malaysian government and operates its own fibre broadband service called UniFi for its residential and business customers.  The deployment of EMC Smarts’ OSS will provide a service-centric approach to the management of the network by TM. Further, it would provide the telecom company with the visibility of its network and services, and utilise intelligent analysis tools to identify the causes of network issues and their associated service impact. TM is also planning to expand its HSBB network to Seremban and Rasah in 2015.
