The Maritime Port Authority of Singapore has been named as the most business-friendly government agency in an annual Pro-Enterprise Ranking survey for the third consecutive time. The Singapore Customs and the Singapore Land Authority, were chosen as the second and third most business-friendly government agencies. The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore and the National Environment Agency cam in the fourth and fifth positions.
The survey assessed 26 agencies in five specific areas, that is, customer responsiveness, transparency, review of rules and regulations, pro-enterprise orientation, and compliance cost.
The survey, which is conducted by the Pro-Enterprise Panel, asks the business customers of government agencies to analyse how these bodies have been performing in their regulatory functions.
