The Philippine International Exhibition Center (PIEC), a P27-billion MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) infrastructure project, will be constructed on a newly reclaimed island in Manila Bay. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that the project will be situated in the 265-hectare Pasay Harbor City and will serve as a premier venue for international exhibitions and conventions.

The DPWH has obtained approval from the Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) to use a customized bidding process for the project’s design and construction. The PIEC will be executed in two phases: Package 1, with a P17-billion budget for design, detailed engineering, foundation, and architectural works from 2024 to 2025, and Package 2, with PHP10 billion allocated for civil works from 2026 to 2027. The Pasay Harbor City project is a joint venture between Pasay City and Udenna Corporation, though reports indicate that soil stability concerns have affected its reclamation plans.
