Thailand’s Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) has approved a THB25.7 million budget for the design of a long-discussed cable car at Phu Kradueng National Park in Loei province. The initial 3 km route is expected to start at Pha Mak Dook, with a first-phase construction cost estimated at THB1 billion.

The project will be followed by a second phase that includes facility upgrades and an environmental impact study. Plans are also under review for safari-style tours to boost tourism at the park.
