Thailand’s Cabinet will approve the revised contract for the long-delayed 3-Airport High-Speed Rail project by August 2025. The THB224 billion project, which connects Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi, and U-Tapao airports, had been stalled for over five years. The Office of the Attorney General is currently reviewing the amended contract, which will be forwarded to the EEC Policy Committee before final Cabinet approval.
Operated by Asia Era One Company (a CP Group-led consortium) under a 50-year concession from the State Railway of Thailand, the project is central to the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) infrastructure plan. The EEC Office has also partnered with Thailand’s higher education and innovation agencies to build a workforce skilled in advanced sectors like aviation, logistics, robotics, and medical services—efforts that have trained nearly 446,000 people to date.
