The Thailand Highways Department has stated that 27 road projects, involving an investment of 15 billion baht, have been delayed due to pending approval from a new government. The 27 road projects have been divided into seven groups:

  • The first group consists of five highway expansion works covering areas in Ubon Ratchathani, Amnat Charoen, Chumphon, Ranong, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Sakon Nakhon, and Udon Thani.
  • The second group involves the construction of pedestrian bridges on Borommaratchachonnani Road (Highway 338) and Phutthamonthon Sai 5 Road.
  •  The third group entails the construction of a new highway from Chachoengsao’s Plaeng Yao district to a section of Highway 304 linking Nonthaburi and Nakhon Ratchasima.
  •  The fourth group consists of the construction of seven roads, bridges, and tunnels.
  • The fifth group comprises highway projects in Chon Buri, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ayutthaya, Buri Ram, Roi Et, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Si Sa Ket.
  •  The sixth group involves the development of five projects that include the construction of bypasses in the north-eastern provinces.
  • The last group covers the maintenance of roads in the northern province of Nan.
