The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) has approved eight major infrastructure projects totalling USD1.54 billion. These projects span critical sectors such as bio-ethylene production, power generation, and data centres.

This includes an USD512 million investment approval for Braskem Siam Company Limited’s bio-ethylene plant in Rayong province as well as a USD254 million investment approval for National Power Plant 12 Company Limited to build a 130 MW biomass-fueled power plant in Prachinburi province. The SCG Group was approved for a USD 162 million investment in a 130 MW cogeneration power plant located in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong province while Super Earth Energy 8 Company Limited received approval for a USD 77 million investment to build a 20 MW waste-to-energy (WtE) plant in Nonthaburi province. 

Additionally, Thai Lion Mentari Company Limited has received approval for a USD 105 million investment to acquire 10 passenger aircraft.
