Thai Smile Bus (TSB) plans to deploy an additional 1,083 electric buses (e-buses), expanding its fleet to 3,100 electric and 483 natural gas buses across the country. The buses are expected to be delivered by the end of 2023.

The initiative is part of the company’s commitment to develop environmentally friendly public transportation and reduce PM2.5 dust pollution in urban areas.

Other key operators including the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) and the Transport Company Limited (TCL) also plan to replace their diesel bus fleet with clean buses by 2025.
