Telkom Indonesia has completed the second and final phase of its InfraCo spin-off, transferring its remaining network infrastructure assets to subsidiary InfraNexia in a transaction valued at IDR49.9 trillion (USD2.8 billion). The transfer follows the first phase completed in January 2026, when 50 per cent of Telkom’s fibre assets were transferred to InfraNexia.

Following completion of the two-phase process, InfraNexia now owns more than 90 per cent of Telkom’s total network infrastructure assets, including access networks, core backbone infrastructure and supporting assets. The assets transferred across both phases have a total value of IDR85.7 trillion (USD4.8 billion). InfraNexia will manage approximately 112,000 km of fibre-optic networks, including 26,000 km of domestic submarine cable communication systems across Indonesia.

Telkom Indonesia retains a 99.9 per cent ownership stake in InfraNexia. The spin-off is intended to improve utilisation of Telkom’s network infrastructure and expand wholesale connectivity services. Telkom’s wholesale fibre capacity was previously around 40 per cent utilised, primarily by its mobile subsidiary Telkomsel.

InfraNexia plans to strengthen services covering 5G backhaul, wholesale networks, fibre-to-the-x (FTTx) and passive infrastructure sharing, while supporting connectivity requirements associated with artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data centres. The company is also advancing network modernisation and autonomous network initiatives.

The transaction forms part of Telkom’s TLKM 30 transformation strategy and its “unlock value” pillar, which focuses on monetising infrastructure assets including fibre networks, data centres and towers.
