The Techo International Airport in Cambodia is now over 94 per cent complete and will be officially inaugurated in July 2025.
Located across Kandal and Takeo provinces, the F4-class airport spans 2,600 hectares and will accommodate large aircraft, including the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747. In its first phase, the airport will handle up to 13 million passengers annually, with capacity increasing to 30 million by 2030 and 50 million by 2050. The Philippine Embassy, in collaboration with Philippine Airlines, plans to establish an aircraft repair training school at CamTech University.
According to the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), Cambodia’s three international airports recorded 5.65 million passengers in 2024, reflecting a 39.8 per cent increase from 2023.
