Malaysia’s Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) won the International Best Practices Award for transportation innovation, reform and multi-modal planning by the International Association of Transportation Regulators. The company has been awarded for formulating coherent policies and implementing national reforms such as electronic-hailing regulatory framework, which is aimed at providing a variety of mobility options.

SPAD is a statutory body set up to plan, regulate and enforce rules concerning land-based public and freight transport in Malaysia. SPAD is responsible for improving the land public transport industry to uplift liveability standards and the quality of life of citizens.
