The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), in collaboration with the local government unit of Reina Mercedes, has completed the construction of a PHP1 million Solar Power Irrigation System (SPIS) project in Reina Mercedes, in the province of Isabela. The irrigation scheme will support 39 members of the Reina Mercedes Riverside Farmers Association (RMRFA) who are a part of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARB).
Out of the total project cost of PHP1 million, DAR contributed PHP850,000 for the drilling and land preparation, while LGU-Reina Mercedes extended PHP150,000.
