Micron Technology will install 36,000 solar panels on the rooftops of fabrication plants and carport shelter tops in Singapore. The project will be executed in collaboration with Sembcorp Industries, with the system expected to come online in 2024. Micron will receive concessional tariffs for the power produced for several years.
The project is a part of Micron’s aim to achieve net zero emissions in its operations and purchase energy by 2050 globally.
