MyHSR Corporation has announced plans to award more than 60 civil work packages for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore HSR project to Malaysian companies.
This will result in 5,000 subcontract packages for the 335 km line. The line is expected to generate more than 70,000 jobs to deliver the civil works packages, including 22,000 jobs for professionals and skilled workers.
An estimated $53.07 billion gross national income will be generated in the railway and supporting industries during the development of the system.
