Singapore-based telecom operator Singtel has appointed Yuen Kuan Moon as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of the group. Yuen will take over the role from Chua Sock Koong, who is set to retire on January 1, 2021. Yuen has been chief executive of Singtel’s Singapore consumer business and chief digital officer since 2012. Prior to that, Yuen was director of commerce in Indonesia-based Telkomsel for four years. Yuen will now work as the group CEO-designate and assume the role upon Chua’s retirement at the start of next year. Chua will stay on as a senior adviser to assist in the transition.
