Singapore-based companies Singtel and Surbana Jurong have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership to co-create smart city solutions by combining technology and infrastructure. The companies will focus on providing smart and sustainable integrated facilities management to speed up the digital transformation of key industries.

Surbana Jurong will pilot the implementation of technology solutions. Singtel will use its 5G and emerging technology expertise to develop solutions to help industries transform. Singtel’s 5G Multi-access Edge Compute and Surbana Jurong’s P24K range of facility management systems will be utilized to form a 5G-powered data processing and management platform that can track, control and handle different operations at the same time.

The integrated system will use consolidated sensor information on space, water, electricity, utilisation, and indoor air quality to provide intelligent surveillance and monitoring solutions and help facility managers improve operational effectiveness and deliver their sustainability goals.
