The Government of Singapore has launched the Maritime Digital Twin (MDT), a real-time virtual model of its port operations, aiming to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The MDT will undergo user trials in the second half of 2025 before wider industry implementation.
Developed by the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) with government agencies and industry partners, the MDT integrates AI, predictive analytics, and real-time data to optimise vessel movements and reduce emissions. It will also function as a testbed for maritime innovation and support global digital shipping corridors. Access to the MDT will be managed based on industry use cases.
