A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Greenko and Keppel Infrastructure under which green hydrogen will be exported from India to Singapore starting 2025. Under the terms of the agreement, India-based Greenko will supply around 2,50,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually to Keppel’s 600 MW Keppel Sakra Cogen Hydrogen Plant in Jurong.

Scope of work also includes the supply of green ammonia as a bunker fuel for ships through the Keppel network in Singapore.

By 2025-26 Greenko expects global demand for green hydrogen to be around 50 million tonnes annually, out of which 15 million tonnes of hydrogen will replace conventional bunkers fuels for ships.
