South Korea-based Taihan Cable & Solution Company has secured a USD 630 million contract from Singapore PowerGrid to supply and install a 400 kV ultra-high voltage power grid. The initiative involves constructing a 400 kV underground power grid, which is the highest voltage used in Singapore and aims to meet the growing power demands driven by the expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) and data centres.
Taihan Cable will employ a full turnkey approach, overseeing all aspects from design to production, installation, connection, and testing of the power grid.
