Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has completed the Woodlands North station for the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, with passenger services targeted to begin in 2027. Construction of the station started in January 2021. The 4-km cross-border railway will connect Woodlands North in Singapore with Bukit Chagar station in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
The station will provide a direct connection to Singapore’s Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) at Woodlands North and will support up to 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction during peak periods, with a journey time of around five minutes. The station incorporates nature-inspired design elements and sustainable features, while immigration and security facilities will be located within the station.
