Singapore-based Sembcorp Industries has hiked its stake in its renewable energy business in India to 65.12 per cent from 64.06 per cent. The company’s subsidiary, Sembcorp Utilities, has subscribed to the entire rights issue floated by Sembcorp Green Infra Limited, the unit responsible for managing its renewable energy business in India. The company has used its internal resources to support this acquisition. Sembcorp Green Infra has more than 900 MW of renewable energy capacity in India.
