The Mass Transit System Public Company in Bangkok has awarded two contracts of a total value of EUR 270 million for the supply of 46 four-car train sets for the Sukhumvit and Silom lines of the Bangkok Skytrain. Siemens will supply 22 train sets and CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Company will supply 24 train sets. The Bangkok Skytrain comprises two lines which together span 36.45 km and cover 34 stations. Services are operated with sets supplied by Siemens and the CNR Changchun Railway Vehicle Company in 2010.
