Shell Energy Philippines Inc (SEPH) has signed a 15-year power purchase agreement with Greenlight Renewables Holdings Inc for the output of the 120-MWp second phase of the San Isidro solar project in Leyte, Philippines. SEPH already has a long-term agreement covering the first phase, bringing the entire 240-MWp solar complex under contract.
The 120-MWp Phase 1 began generating electricity in October 2025, while Phase 2 entered operation in July 2026. The combined project is expected to supply enough electricity for around 140,000 households annually and avoid approximately 91,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. San Isidro is owned by a joint venture between Shell Overseas Investments BV and Emerging Power Inc, which aims to develop 1 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2028.
