Netherlands-based Royal Dutch Shell (Shell) has delayed its plans to provide LNG to Thailand’s transport sector. The country’s political instability has affected the issuance of the necessary policy and investment promotion regulations. Shell is soon expected to conduct talks with auto makers that produce LNG-powered vehicles and truck operators. Additionally, the company needs clarification on whether the current policy to cap the retail price of diesel fuel at 30 baht per litre will continue before it can take a decision.
