Passenger services have commenced on Phase I of Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line 1. The line spans 21 km (elevated) from Sungai Buloh to Semantan and covers 12 stations. The Mass Rapid Transit Corporation has offered free travel in the first month of opening. The service frequency will be 3.5 minutes. Phase II of the line, from Muzium Negara to Kajang, is scheduled to open by July 2017. The Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line is 51 km long and covers 31 stations (with provision to add three stations).
