Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd has been awarded the Asian Business Review’s Malaysia Technology Excellence Award in the Smart City – Transportation category for its Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) Project. CEO Ts Mazli Mustaffa stated that the award serves as recognition and motivation for Sarawak Metro’s mission to transform and decarbonise public transport using hydrogen technology.
Mazli highlighted the collective effort behind the achievement and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to completing the KUTS Project, which is overseen by the Ministry of Transport Sarawak. He expressed hope that KUTS would serve as a model for other urban areas with similar public transport needs. The Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards honour companies driving technological innovation in the country.
