RTS Operations Sdn Bhd (RTSO), the operator of the upcoming Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS Link), has awarded nine contracts for the project. The nine contracts have a combined value of RM1 billion.

Four contract were awarded for core systems. These include the rolling stock contract awarded to CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Company Limited, the contract for signaling and platform screen doors was awarded to Siemens Mobility Sdn Bhd and Siemens Mobility Private Limited and two core contracts for the communications and the integrated supervisory control system have been secured by Sapura Rail Systems Sdn Bhd. The remaining five contracts are for track work, power supply systems, depot equipment and service vehicles, as well as an automatic fare collection system.

The RTS Link will connect Woodlands in Singapore and Johor Bahru Malaysia, across the Straits of Johor. It is expected to carry up to 10,000 passengers every hour in each direction, and the trip between both terminus stations is expected to take only five minutes.
