Vietnam’s central province of Quang Tri has approved four wind power projects worth $223 million. The first plant is the 30 MWp Huong Phung 3, expected to cost VND 1.58 trillion. The plant is expected to be constructed during 2019-21 and will be operated by the investor for a period of 50 years.

In addition, GELEX Quang Tri Energy JSC has obtained licences to invest in the GELEX 1, 2, and 3 wind power plants with a capacity of 30 MWp each. Taken together, these three plants are expected to cost VND 3.66 trillion and occupy 24 hectares of land in Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts. These three plants will also be operational for 50 years.
