The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and state-owned Indonesian energy company PT Pertamina (Persero) signed a comprehensive strategic framework to explore opportunities for cooperation in all oil and gas business chains in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Indonesia and internationally. As per the agreement, PT Pertamina and ADNOC will explore opportunities for cooperation in both the upstream and downstream sectors. The projects under consideration include participation in the UAE upstream oil and gas sector, refineries, petrochemicals, liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), jet fuel, and oil and gas retail businesses in Indonesia. In addition, ADNOC and PT Pertamina are expected to hold meetings over the coming months to evaluate and select key areas for strategic collaboration across the two companies’ project assets and portfolio.
