Several private banks have agreed to disburse loans for the Greater Jakarta LRT project that will link the cities of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi. Among the private lenders that have agreed to take part in the project are Bank Central Asia (BCA) and Malaysian controlled bank CIMB Niaga. The project is estimated to cost Rp 27 trillion with Rp 9 trillion being provided by the government in the form of capital injection, while the remaining Rp 18 trillion is expected to be met through bank loans.
