Amir Hamdan has been appointed president and group chief executive officer of Prasarana Malaysia Bhd. He joined Prasarana in 2019 and has more than 25 years of experience in finance, operations, and corporate strategy. Within the organisation, he has served as group chief operating officer (operations), CEO of Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, and deputy group chief financial officer.
His appointment follows the board’s recognition of his leadership and contributions, and is expected to support Prasarana’s efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s public transport system through an inclusive and people-centred approach.
