The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced plans to establish Thailand as a railway service hub in ASEAN during its four-year term. The plans will focus on expanding rail services, increasing capacity, and completing key projects like the Thailand-China high-speed railway (HSR).

The SRT’s debt of THB230 billion is a priority, along with seeking private sector investments and exploring revenue-generating land development along railways. Further, SRT aims to engage with the Ministry of Finance for potential subsidies related to social services.
