Pestech International Berhad (PIB) has received a contract worth RM 53.62 million to develop an integrated power distribution system, including a substation, for the smelter facility at the Samalaju Industrial Park, Sarawak. Additionally, PIB’s subsidiary, Pestech Sendirian Berhad (PSB), has signed a contract with Metix Malaysia for the design, EPC, testing and commissioning of a 132/33/11 kV integrated power distribution system for Sakura Ferroalloys. While Sakura Ferroalloys will operate the smelter facility, Metix Malaysia will be the main contractor. Further, the smelter project aims to establish a facility that would produce high-carbon ferro manganese and silica manganese products with two 81 MVA furnaces.
