The Philippines government is planning to construct a new terminal at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) complex exclusively for low-cost carriers. The new facility, Terminal 5, will be constructed near Terminal 3, which  is slated for commissioning by July 2014. Besides, Terminal 1 is currently undergoing rehabilitation, and is set for a major facelift after being adjudged as one of the world’s worst airports by international travellers.
