The Philippines’ Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two road-widening projects in Del Gallego, Camarines Sur, aimed at easing congestion on the Rolando A. Andaya Highway. The projects, carried out over 11 months from February 2024 to January 2025, expanded a 1.61 km section of the highway from two to four lanes.

Additional works included reinforced concrete box culverts, storm drains, metal guardrails, sidewalks, and reflectorised pavement markings for improved safety. DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan emphasised the highway’s role in decongesting traffic, particularly during holidays. Separately, DPWH also completed a flood-control project in Baseco Compound, Manila, and an access road to Rolling Hills in Isabela Province.
