The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced the Edsa Greenway project to improve the pedestrian environment along Edsa near mass rapid transit (MRT)-3 stations in the Philippines. The USD140 million project is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and aims to prioritise pedestrian movement and active transport, encouraging the use of public transportation.

Phase 1 of the project involves constructing a five-km mass transit walkway near Balintawak, Cubao, Guadalupe, and Taft stations. It includes improved pedestrian facilities, covered and elevated walkways, nearby amenities, and transport facilities. Once completed, the infrastructure will feature elevators and monitoring systems.
