The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has commenced property acquisition for the Tagum–Davao–Digos segment of the Mindanao Railway Project (MRP), allocating PHP148 million for the relocation of 178 families to the Tagum Train Village in the Philippines.

The Tagum–Davao–Digos segment covers approximately 100 km and includes eight stations connecting Tagum City, Davao City, and Digos City. The Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the Tagum City local government, is overseeing the relocation process. Families are required to complete documentation including proof of residency, income affidavits, and certificates of landholding or non-ownership before relocation.

The ROW acquisition marks the first step in implementing the Mindanao Railway, a key infrastructure project aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and supporting economic growth in Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur.
