Philippines-based operator Globe Telecom has activated 500 new cell sites in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, using the 2600 MHz frequency band. The spectrum band was acquired through its joint buyout of the San Miguel Corporation’s telecommunication assets with the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Company. With this, customers in Visayas and Mindanao will be able to experience faster internet services and greater network reliability.
